Colee Hammock

Colee Hammock Fort Lauderdale Neighborhood Guide

Colee Hammock lies on either side of Las Olas Boulevard –  one of the trendiest streets in Fort Lauderdale. With the New River to the south, and Downtown Fort Lauderdale and the central business district just to the east –  this is a prime location. The Colee Hammock neighborhood is not only a historical landmark district but also one of the oldest and most beautiful parts of Ft. Lauderdale.

Colee Hammock Real Estate

This diverse neighborhood features several waterfront homes for sale along the Intracoastal waterway canals and on the Tarpon River/New River. However, the majority of real estate is on the “hammock” from which the area derived its name – a small marsh island. There are many different styles of homes in the Colee Hammock community, mostly built before 1960. There are charming beach cottages on the water as well as historic Mediterranean Revival homes to Art Deco/ Moderne mansions in the area. No matter what type of property you prefer, you’ll find something perfect within your budget here.
